The High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development (HLPF) is the central UN platform for the follow-up and review of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). It was established by the UN General Assembly in 2012 and meets annually under the auspices of the UN Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC). The Forum provides political leadership, guidance and recommendations on the progress and implementation of the 2030 Agenda and is a key driver for mobilizing multi-stakeholder action and partnerships in support of the SDGs.
