Human Rights

Human rights apply equally to all people. They are universally valid, indivisible and cannot be denied to anyone. States and companies have a duty to protect them. This means that they are directly responsible for the observance of human rights. There are various internationally recognized texts that set out the different human rights, such as the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the Social and Civil Covenants, the Women's and Children's Rights Conventions or the ILO core labor standards.
